Alignment to the call’s objectives

Improve integration of mobility research institutions into Europe’s innovation ecosystems by establishing better links with start-ups, accelerators, incubators, business angels, and investor communities And Increased engagement and connectedness with other ecosystem actors within and between regions:

  1. Dynamic Ecosystem Mapping: interactive mapping of innovation ecosystem actors in the transport and mobility sector, identifying synergies and collaboration opportunities, and expanding the MIN platform. (Task2.1)
  2. Interactive Networking Platform: Develop an advanced, AI-powered online networking platform to facilitate real-time interactions and matchmaking between educational institutions and industry stakeholders, including start-ups and investors, expanding the existing MIN platform. (Task2.2)
  3. Immersive Collaboration Workshops: Immersive workshops to bring together educational institutions and innovation ecosystem actors, fostering hands-on collaboration and knowledge exchange, interactive case studies and matchmaking. (WP3-4)

Boosting entrepreneurial activity and skill development within the EU's innovation ecosystems is crucial for addressing transport and mobility challenges. Recent initiatives such as the European Innovation Council (EIC) and Horizon Europe have emphasised the importance of integrating digital, green, and entrepreneurial skills to enhance innovation potential and market uptake of new technologies (European Commission, 202314; 202115). The Digital Education Action Plan and Green Deal Call further highlight the need for targeted training to navigate digital and green transitions (European Commission, 202016). By establishing the MobiNexus Entrepreneurship Academy and User-Centric Academy, WP3 aims to deliver cutting-edge training programs, fostering entrepreneurial activity and user-centric design thinking to create a more interconnected and innovative transport ecosystem.
